Online Catalog
Our library has its own online public access catalog (OPAC) that you can use at school or at home to look for books and access other online resources like ebooks, multilingual ebooks, author interviews, databases, online magazines, activities, reference materials, and links to the public library and other cool places. You can also see our newest and most popular titles. Looking up books to see if they're available, checking their call numbers so you know where to find them, and placing holds on them before you get to the library can save you time and put you ahead of the game (especially when it
comes to those in-demand new books!) hrsb.insigniails.com/Library/Home?libraryid=0182
Get Personal
You can get personal by going to the upper right hand corner of the online catalog main page and logging in. To login use your 310 number as your username and your password will be your name (usually just your first name). You can get your 310 number from your teacher or the librarian.
Once you're logged in you can explore and personalize! Go to My Account in the upper left hand corner of the main page. Here you can see what you have on loan, what you need to return/renew, and what items you've requested to be put on hold. You can also see your Favorites list and put in requests for new books that you would like to have in the library. If you look up a book in the library catalog, you can give it a star rating, add it to your favorites, place a hold request, or write a book review that will be put online for other students to read and see what you thought of that book!
Teachers, you can also use the online catalog to look up materials including those found in the Teacher Resource section of the library. Those items will have a call number beginning with TR or RA, meaning they will be found in the Teacher Resource section behind by my desk. There are also helpful links to online resources on our online catalog. If you haven't the time to look or you know in advance the topic that you will be working on in class, please let me know and I will pull books for you, find online resources, and make displays for your students prior to your arrival ! The library is here to support you!
